I finished listening to the audio book version of Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveller's Wife yesterday, upon Emily's recommendation. It was a fantastic book. Great romance and drama with an amazing temporal twist. Read it. Or, if you have an opportunity to enjoy audio books, like my commute gives me, get the audio book. The narrator for each chapter is either of the two lovers, and two voice actors read the chapters from their character's point of view, with Christopher Burns as Henry (the time traveler) and Maggie-Meg Reed as Clare (his wife). Their heartfelt and touching performances of the already spectacular book draw you in and make you care about Henry and Clare all the more.
In other news, following last week's tasty Thanksgiving at Emily's aunt's house, I uploaded pictures Emily took there, such as:

Emily then went on a an uploading spree over the weekend, adding hundreds of pictures from over the last few years. Check them out!
Today marks my one year anniversary with the City of Los Angeles. Time flies!
Oh, and I now have vacation hours!
Sure, it's Thursday, but for me it's my Friday since, as a government employee, I get Veterans Day off. Of course, that meant I kept thinking it was Thursday yesterday. In addition to the holiday tomorrow, Monday's my regular day off. Woooooo, four day weekend!
Big win for the Democratic Party this week, taking both the House and the Senate. Very encouraging. Now they just have to live up expectations, and we'll be doin' well going into 2008.

I just felt our baby move for the first time! Plus, I saw the baby moving, poking through momma.
Wow! Just... wow!
Yay, baby!
Here's a bonus picture of a very pregnant Emily.
