The Angels, at 46-45, are once again above .500. I never would have expected it.
Also one game over .500 are my Roswell Grays, at 26-25. That's not good, however, as they've gone 1-2 for six weeks in a row, tumbling from the 2nd best record in the league at 20-13 and falling from first in their division to third in both their division and the wild card. It's been more than a bit frustrating. Fortunately, my DC Dragons still have the best record in the league at 31-20.
My Matrix is no longer the newest addition to our home...
The tortoiseshell is Lois, and the black one is Selina (bonus points for catching the name references). The kittens are about two months old. They're soooooooooooo cute! Emily brought them home from the vet today.
We went to the shelter on Saturday, and fell in love with these sibling sweethearts. Unfortunately, as strays they had to spend one more day at the shelter before they were available, in case an owner tried to find them. So Sunday we went back and claimed them right when the shelter opened. Alas, we still couldn't bring them home then, because they had to go to the vet and get fixed before they could leave the shelter system.
So it was that Emily picked them up today from the vet. They got home and were a bit out of it from the operation and the car ride, plus the pre/post-op lack of food, but after a few minutes, they perked up, as can be seen in the pics above.
And, as I said, they're soooooooooooo cute!
Thursday night, I bought a Matrix!
No, wait, not that kind of Matrix. This sort of Matrix:
Yes, it's out with my old '93 Nissan Sentra, and in with my new 2006 Toyota Matrix. It's very, very nice. It has all the fancy features that barely existed in 1993 (and weren't on my Sentra), like airbags, daytime running lights, power windows, keyless entry, CD player, and so forth. It's also very roomy inside, but still a compact. Plus, it runs fantastic. Very smooth, good power. The Sentra had been fine when I got it, but that was seven years ago. It's nice to have something new and full-featured and mine. I'm very excited about the Matrix. It's just fantastic.
And "new car smell" rules.
