Some excitement today in Citrus Heights! When I first drove up and saw the street leading to City Hall blocked off, I thought something had happened there. Nope, just some dumbass attempting a burglary about 300 yards from the Police Station...
While googling, I found a Q & A session with my cousin, Joe Hoggatt, head baseball coach at Canyon High School. I knew he was coaching there and all, but it was still pretty cool to find this online.
Yesterday afternoon, Chris and Vanessa rolled into Sactown on their way to Portland, where Vanessa starts her senior year at the University of Portland on Monday. It was great to see them. We enjoyed a fine lunch at Shanghai Gardens and delicious dinner at Zelda's Pizza. Quite the time was had by all.
They were on the road this morning before the crack of dawn. Fortunately, it seems like they didn't have the same car trouble the had last year when they stayed over with us on the way to Portland.
On my way to work this morning, I listened to NPR as usual. Unlike usual, however, was the interview NPR did with "Weird Al" Yankovic. You can listen to an extended version of the interview here.
This post primarily intended for Mike Doss.
Emily and I were studying Torah tonight, and we found a passage that was very meaningful to me. All I can say is, check out Deuteronomy 3:11. I think it'll touch you too.
Oh, hi there!
You know what I discovered listening to the radio tonight? The guy in the apartment next door to us is a DJ on KXJZ, the NPR and jazz station here in Sacramento. Matías Bombal is his name, and he's on two nights a week.
