I normally leave the politics to Mike, but this topic particularly irks me:
How can we, in 2003, still live in a world where homophobia and condemnation of gays exists? From Senators to ballplayers, people are somehow worried about gays.
Newsflash! Gays aren't going to tear apart the fabric of society or destroy the "traditional family," whatever that is. Heterosexuals are doing a fine job of that as it is.
Another newsflash! Guys, just because another man is gay does NOT mean they want to fuck you. Get over yourselves. You're not that hot.
You may now go about your business, thank you.
Check the updates on our wedding website! Cool stuff, including pics of the venue.
In what has to be an incredibly wierd coincidence, the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Florida Marlins in 20 innings today. That's pretty amazing in and of itself. BUT...
Mike and I played a Strato game today between his Santa Cruz Hippies and my DC Dragons... that went 20 innings. After I tied the game up in the bottom of the 7th, the game was scoreless until SC's Miguel Tejada doubled Bret Boone home in the top of the 20th. I failed to score in the bottom of the 20th, and the hard fought contest went to the Hippies.
Not too often two 20 inning games are played on the same day, eh?
Okay, so it's been awhile. Where do I start? How 'bout here:
- The Angels beat the Yankees 6-2. It's nice to see the Angels get off the schnide, and it's also good to see the Yanks get their comeuppance. One more game note: Mike was almost psychic, as he predicted a 6-4 Angel victory. He got the important part right, anyway.
- Speaking of Mike, Emily and I have made our donation to the Second Annual Michael Doss Birthday Charity Dinner. Have you?
- Speaking of Emily, last weekend we were down in SoCal for Passover. Among the things we did, we attended two fun Seders, went to services as BCC, had dinner with both sets of folks together, and picked out a venue for our wedding ceremony and reception.
- Speaking of our wedding, look for a large update this weekend at our wedding website. Info about our venue will be posted along with pictures, plus we'll be getting one of those spiffy registry guns and zapping up a registry Saturday. That should be fun. I'm sure I'll think of some more stuff to add to the wedding site as well.
- I've been turning over the Transformers on display on my desk a lot more frequently this past couple weeks. It's fun to see new stuff on my desk all the time, and as I often transform figures while on the computer, it's nice to have some other options to fiddle with absent-mindedly.
- The DC Dragons still suck. At least I can find humor in it.
- Tomorrow is Friday. Friday is good.
Well, I think that's it for tonight. See ya soon - really!!
Hey everybody, I'm still here. I've just been mad busy recently. I'll try to keep up a more regular posting schedule again. I have been posting new content about my Strato team at my Dragons website.
Oh, and props to the Angels, who stomped on the A's this weekend. Go Angels!

Tonight the Angels were presented with their 2002 World Series Championship rings and then went out and clobbered Texas 10-0. Now that's a good day for Angel fans everywhere!
