Sweet, sweet vacation... how I enjoy you so.
One more little update for today: Nuklear Power is the site of a very, very funny comic strip based on the original NES Final Fantasy. Check it out!!
Here's an amusing take on the Chick tract I posted last week. Funny!!
Though I've neglected to post about it till now, I finished my semester on Friday!! I've survived, and have every reason to expect grades I will be pleased with, so I'm happy.
Now, I get to enjoy five weeks of winter break!!
Emily and I celebrate our 6th anniversary today.
Love you, Babe!!
Recently, a particular Chick tract came to my attention. Go read it, and come back. I'll still be here.
Okay, read it? Good. There are links from the tract to "arguments" regarding Dungeons & Dragons as well, but you don't have to read those unless you're looking for a laugh.
It amazes me that these zealots can be so afraid of a mere game. Even more amazing, though, is that their fear is because (they claim) the magic of D & D is real. How can they be so stupid as to not be able to seperate fantasy from reality, as anyone who plays D & D assuredly can?
I know one thing - next time I prepare my spells, I'll make sure I memorize my mind bondage spell and make these people stop worrying about D & D.
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Select, Start.
If you're a South Park fan, check this awesome site out!!
I play in a number of messageboard role-playing games over at ENWorld.org, and thought some of my regular readers would be amused to hear about the newest character I'm playing:
A Gungan Jedi.
Meesa bein' bombad brave, boy-o!! Yousa be knowin' lotsa people no be likin' de Gungans.
School is hard...
Last week, the building managers for our apartment decked the halls for Christmas. I get annoyed with all the public decoration, but that's public. Free speech and all that. It's another thing to have to put up with it in our own home. Not cool.
Dang, after posting aplenty before travelling, I'm now down to just one post on the main page (before this one). I'll have to come up with clever and witty commentary to remedy that.
After a long holiday weekend in So Cal, Emily and I returned to Sacramento on Monday. It was great to see family and celebrate Thanksgiving and Hanukkah. We were glad to be home Monday, though. After a while, you're just ready to be back where you've got your own stuff.
In other news, my folks will be travelling up to Sac to visit us over the MLK long weekend in January. That should be cool. They haven't been up here to see the place yet.
On a final note, school is very stressful.
