The stage is now set. The Anaheim Angels will play the San Francisco Giants in the 2002 World Series. All California, All Wild Card - should be awesome!!

Now, a question: Tickets go on sale Wednesday for the games in SF. The games in SF are 3, 4, and 5 (if necessary), and will be a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I have class on Tuesday and Thursay, but it's concievable I could go to Wednesday's game. Problem is, it would likely cost $150 to $200 (if I'm luck enough to get a ticket).

Should I go?

The Anaheim Angels are going to the World Series!!

Behind Adam Kennedy's amazing 3 homer, 4 for 4, 5 RBI game, the Angels crushed the Minnesota Twins 13-5.

Celebration on the Field

Kennedy's game tied a record held by the likes of Babe Ruth and Reggie Jackson, becoming only the 5th player (Ruth did it twice) to hit three homers in a playoff game.

AK 3 HR

This has been an amazing season for the Angels, and it's only going to get better. Saturday, they'll be playing the Giants or Cardinals in the Series, and they way the're playing, I can't imagine any result but an Angels World Championship.

GO ANGELS!!!

Last night, I celebrated my 24th birthday. I had an absolutely awesome time.

Emily and I met five of my classmates (plus one girlfriend) at the Rubicon Brewing Company for dinner, alcohol, and TVs with the Angels on them. I enjoyed a delicious portabella sammich, and consumed no less than four (4) glasses of Rubicon's great Two Rivers cider. After the sammich, and during the third glass of cider, the Anaheim Angels won their playoff game, improving the evening that much more. It was a lot of fun hanging out and talking with my new friends. We talked about politics, Thursday's midterm, Sacramento, where we'd come from... We had a great time at Rubicon.

After the brewery, most of us were still looking for something to do, so we went to a bar. Yup, we went from a brewery to a bar. I started off with a mudslide, and then my friends ordered for me, in succession, shots of watermelon pucker and heffeswizer (sp?), and then a blow job.

So, over the course of the evening, I - who virtually never drink - had eight (8) alcoholic beverages. (Don't worry, Emily drove.) I had an absolutely great time, and it was really great to bond with my friends outside of class. We've decided that we're going to do a monthly birthday outing, and the bar we went to has karaoke Thursday nights, so there's talk of doing that after class Thursday.

This morning, I had my first hangover, but more sleep fixed that right up. Still, the experience taught me that I won't be doing that again, not even for my next birthday.

So, to sum, I had a fabulous time celebrating my birthday. Thanks to all who attended!! You made it a wonderful night!

The Angels and the Yankees are tied in their series 1-1.

WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

For the Angels to earn a split in the first two games in NY is absolutely awesome. Now it's best 2 of 3, and 2 of those games are in "The Happiest Place on Earth."

GO ANGELS!!!
